Joseph Regan - Vice-President, Investments, GrowthWorks. Mr. Regan joined GrowthWorks in early 2003 and has over a decade of life sciences venture capital experience, active in both company creation and the strategic growth of portfolio companies. Prior to GrowthWorks, Mr. Regan was Vice-President of Ventures West Management Inc. from 1998 until 2001 where he was a principal venture capital investor focused on life sciences investments. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Regan gained domain expertise in the pharmaceutical industry through operational roles at Hoffmann-La Roche and Syntex Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Regan has an Honours B.Sc.(Distinction) from the University of Guelph and a MBA (Dean’s List) from McMaster University. Mr. Regan is currently on the Board of Directors of Ambit Biosciences Corporation, Cytochroma Inc., Targeted Growth Inc., Viron Therapeutics Inc., Receptor Therapeutics Inc., Dynacon Inc. and serves as President of the Sunnybrook Working Ventures Medical Breakthrough Fund Inc.
